Computer Printed Prescriptions

Prescriptions for glasses, contact lenses, topical drops, and oral medications are entered into the computer system and printed. This generates a legible, easy-to-read document which should reduce errors at pharmacies or optical shops. Amazingly, I still see about 5 to 6 incorrectly-made glasses each year due to data entry operators miscopying information into their systems - then not checking the results.

I keep a current copy of this data on my home computer so I can easily reference and refill a prescription at night or on weekends if necessary.
